NY ART MUSEUM

The interior of the contemporary art museum must encapsulate a rich tapestry of spatial experiences, adeptly embracing the fluidity and unpredictability that are intrinsic to contemporary art. The exterior of the building should seamlessly integrate with its local and urban surroundings, meticulously responding to the unique contextual nuances.

The central concept driving this project was the exploration of typological frameworks for contemporary art museums. These typologies were then transmuted into a diverse array of architectural structures and spatial arrangements. The ultimate aim was to create a sophisticated shed-like structure capable of evolving over time, in perfect harmony with the ever-expanding spectrum of artistic media that artists bring to the museum's doorstep.
