MIAMI PORT MUSEUM

The primary objective of this project was to conceive a design for a pier museum, one that serves as a horizontal monument dedicated to special exhibitions commemorating the immigrants' history in the United States. This unique structure, a narrow strip extending 100 meters in length, seamlessly blends with the surrounding sea, creating a harmonious interaction with the natural environment.

This museum is envisioned not merely as an architectural marvel but as a catalyst for new and dynamic urban experiences. Spanning approximately 2000 square meters, the core program areas include the grand main hall, the permanent exhibition space, a room showcasing the immigrants' journey through changing temperatures, a welcoming cafeteria, an auditorium for events, and a well-stocked main library.

In essence, this project aims to celebrate the rich heritage of immigrants while harmonizing with the waterfront setting to promote a vibrant urban atmosphere.
