8800 KENDAL RESIDENCE

Nestled on a sprawling one-acre lot in South Miami, this architectural project embodies a thoughtful design concept. The structure is artfully divided into three distinct volumes, interconnected by a central hallway that serves as a conduit for abundant natural light to permeate the entire space. Each volume is dedicated to a specific function.

Volume 1 houses the office and guest quarters, providing a welcoming and functional space for work and hospitality. Volume 2 encompasses the primary social areas, including the dining room, living area, and a well-appointed bar, fostering an inviting atmosphere for gatherings and relaxation. Volume 3, designed for daily family use, includes the kitchen, a playful playroom, and the private bedrooms.

A conscientious effort was made to harmonize with the existing lush natural surroundings, creating opportunities for panoramic views of the exterior. Drawing inspiration from the clean lines and harmonious simplicity of Balinese architecture, the design incorporates wood elements throughout, infusing warmth and elegance into the space.

A striking focal point of the project is the grand canopy at the entry, which commands attention and adds a touch of drama to the overall design, welcoming all who enter with a sense of grandeur and distinction.
